| The
System
The simple modular design of the patented ecoTrans®
transfer system allows for a multitude of applications.
The transfer system has been designed especially for
use in manual, semi-automated and fully automated
assembly lines for a product mass of up to 5 kg. As
the work-piece pallet is accessible from almost every
side, the transfer system allows for easy integration
in processing stations of any kind. The low-profile
design of the components makes it possible to use
the system on existing work- stations such as presses,
and test-benches etc.
Versatile Design Options
The transfer system can be designed as a compact work
station or as a modular production line with various
layouts to suit production work flow.
Technology
The transfer system is driven by a guided plastic-coated
chain that does not require a tensioner. The work-piece
pallets run directly on the work-surface, magnetically
driven by the moving chain. Guide rollers attached
to the bottom side of the work-piece pallet engage
in a profile in the guide plate, thus following the
conveyor track.
Features
Loads are transferred through to the work surface
and not the drive chain and motor, enabling the system
to remain economic.
No chain tensioner is required.
All rollers and guide rollers are made of a low friction
material.
Only low drive power is required.
Low cost and short assembly time.
The work-piece holders may be positioned on the pallets
from below or at the side.
All modules can be arranged on the work surface,
thus minimising the foot-print of the production line
layout.
Manual and automatic assembly lines can be easily
combined.
Work-piece pallets of different sizes can be transported
simultaneously, therefore allowing different products
to be transferred simultaneously.
The system allows for movement at various speeds,
e.g. for speed adaptation requirements for cooling
or hardening processes.
The transfer system can be supplied with an ESD
capability.
