Zimmern. Yet another turn of the first sod at the
inter-communal industrial estate South West In•Kom:
The company “ACI-ecoTec” is erecting a
new office building and production plant there.
The company “ACI-ecoTec” produces and
sells systems and components for different industries.
The company is particularly specialized on automation
and photovoltaics.
The new production plant will create 56 new jobs
and 11 places for apprenticeships; currently 120 people
work for “ACI-ecoTec”.
In the future, the estate should continue to expand.
“Attracting businesses, especially from the
sector of modern technologies, is particularly important
for this rural area”, says Emil Maser, the chairperson
of the inter-communal industrial estate and mayor
of Zimmern. The managing director and representative
of “ACI-invest GBR”, Karl-Heinz Menauer,
was happy about turning the first sod and, in addition,
stressed that the company “ACI-ecoTec”
wanted to give a sign to others.
According to Mr Menauer, the decision of the company
to move from their current location in St. Georgen
to Zimmern has been taken because the business wants
to attract young employees.
In addition to that, further development would not
have been possible in St. Georgen. The photovoltaic
sector is an industry of the future. The new company
building will also have a photovoltaic system installed
which will produce 150,000 kilowatt-hours per year.
Mr Maser said that the In?Kom estate is currently
developing very well. A bonus point of the location
certainly was the brilliant connection to the A81
motorway.
The managing director, Mr Menauer, also agreed to
this: “Due to good traffic links and an attractive
working environment, the decision for this location
ensures that we are able to attract qualified workers
and engineers from an area up to 50 kilometres north
and south from here despite the currently tight job
market.”
It is to be expected that “ACI-ecoTec”
will be able to move into their new premises in summer
2009.
